PHILIP D. ROUND is Nature Trails' ornithological consultant, specialising in birds of Thailand and the indochinese region. He is the author of many scientific papers and books on Thai birds. One of the founder members of the Oriental Bird Club, he lives in Thailand with his (Thai) wife and daughter, speaks Thai, and is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Biology, Mahidol University in Bangkok. As well as being a keen birder, with a particular interest in taxing identification and taxonomic problems, he is an enthusiastic bird-bander. He has compiled Recent Reports, a monthly roundup of bird sightings in Thailand, for the Bird Conservation Society of Thailand bulletin for over 17 years.
KAMOL KOMOLPHALIN is Nature Trails' main bird leader and a co-founder of the company. He is one of the keen bird observers in Thailand as well as the world-class bird artist. He co-illustrates the Thai field guide and one of the few top birders in Thailand who keen on bird sounds. He was the President of the Bangkok Bird Club during 1986-1994 (now Bird Conservation Society of Thailand).
RACHEN CHAROENNUGUL is Nature Trails' bird leader lives in Chiangmai and work at Chiangmai University. He has an interest in birding for many years and is one of the founder members of Lanna Bird Club in Chiangmai. He was the advisor for creating the nature trails at Omkoi and Samuang Wildlife Sanctuary and was a head of the biodiversity team survey at Chiangdao Wildlife Sanctuary organized by Chiangmai University in 1995-1996.

SUKANYA THANOMBUDDHA is a skilled birder. She has been very active in the Thai birding community for the past ten years and has a Thai "life list" of almost 800 species. She has been leading birdwatchers in Thailand for several years and is very familiar with the birds and destinations. Sukanya lives in Bangkok but travels all over the country.

RATTAPON KLAICHID started his birdwatching since 1991 and has won the first price of Thailand Bird Race in 2001 and 2004. He joined in a team of Bird Conservation Society of Thailand (BCST) surveying the bird species in the south and inner gulf of Thailand in recent years. He has worked for the Hornbill Project at Budo Mountain in Narathiwat province on 2002-2003. Apart from his interest in birds, he also has a special interest in mammals. Rattapon lives Bangkok but travel all over the country.

Kamol teaches his own nature art class and is an inviting lecturer at Chulalongkorn University on the subject of Nature Appreciation and Field Scientific/Artistic Sketching. He is a consultant and giving a regular talk to the organised youth groups in the northeast for bird and nature education.
